Here is how we spent our Thanksgiving 2008...
We had 5 of Andy's friends over for Thanksgiving dinner, and one just happened to be a chef!! So, we went grocery shopping Wednesday, and he made an AMAZING meal! All I ended up making was the yams, potatoes, rolls, salad, and corn. He took over the rest with little help from us amateurs. Just look at the turkey!
Meixner (our personal chef) made a brown sugar turkey, cornbread stuffing, baked mac'n'cheese, pecan pie, and 2 pumpkin cheesecakes!!! MMMmmm... When it came time to eat, we didn't exactly have enough chairs or room on the table, but we made it work. We used up the 2 chairs we have, our sofas, and foot rests :)
The rest of the guys played games and watched football while they waited to eat...

Though it wasn't home, and I was the only woman in the house all day lol, the food turned out DELICIOUS and we are very thankful we got to celebrate this holiday.
We are so fortunate to have such outstanding people in our lives who love us unconditionally and support us completely! And even though we couldn't be with all of you today, we are so grateful to look forward to being home for Christmas with smiles on our faces. :)
Hope you had a great holiday, and remembered how blessed we all are in so many different ways.

I thought about you guys a few times yesterday -- wondering how you were handling your first big "family holiday" on your own. It looks like you did just fine. =)
But know that you are missed, and we hope we'll get to at least say "hi" when you're out for Christmas.
p.s. Don't know if anyone's told you, Amanda -- but your birthday-sharing-partner is not doing so great... I'll try and keep you updated.
No one told me...Thank you for letting me know, please keep me updated.
