A weekend away...FINALLY!!!

My husband, the beach, and hollywood of the east!

Andy have not spent a whole weekend together in months, and after being apart for two weeks, we were so excited to get away this last weekend! We left Saturday morning to Wilmington and Carolina Beach, NC. The drive was not bad at all, and it happened to be the Azalea festival in Wilmington! We went to Carolina Beach and stayed in an ocean-view room! It was so nice. It was pretty windy at the beach, but still awesome to be by the ocean. We watched the sunrise from our bed in our room Sunday morning! It was amazing :) We really enjoyed Carolina Beach, but were anxious to see all the places that has given Wilmington the nickname of  "Wilmiwood." So we went and hung out at the festival, walked around downtown and the riverfront of Cape Fear River, drove by some of the One Tree Hill sights, ate, and went on the Wilmington Hollywood tour. The Hollywood tour was fun, we had already scoped out most of the One Tree Hill stuff, but it was fun to hear stories behind the screen and see how much had really been done there! Over 300 movies and 400 tv series have been filmed in the Wilmington area. Here are a few pictures of our weekend trip :) We had a blast, and of course wish it could have lasted much longer!

This is the view from our hotel room in Carolina Beach!

Brooke's fashion line, One Tree Hill

Clothes over Bros and Karen's cafe' are actually filmed in the same location!

CD Alley, used in One Tree Hill

The Rivercourt. We were hoping to play some ball but the hoops have been removed!

The sunrise, from our room!

Eating lunch on the balcony of The Union, overlooking the Cape Fear Riverfront.

A couple warehouses that are used to film scenes of films and tv series

fish market used by One Tree Hill, and Dawson's Creek
The Henryettia, same boat used as the party boat Nathan and Lucas jumped off of.
The alley where Jamie tells Landon she has cancer in "A Walk To Remember"
This shot was used to look like a bus depot in an Audrey Hepburn film.
The building on the right was where Julia Roberts stayed while filming "Sleeping with the Enemy"
This is the place used for the crabshack in One Tree Hill that Brooke worked at as a crab
The bar the Ya Yas drugged Sidda in "The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood"! "That's a date rape drug!"
The building on the right was Sidda's apt.
This location was used in an Audrey Hepburn film.
The middle brick building is the building that Haley and Lucas made the mini golf on. Also where the removable brick is that holds their expectation box.
The street where Haley's car crash is on, One Tree Hill.
The middle building was used as Thug magazine, where Lucas took Peyton's sketches.
Yes, this is the bridge Lucas walks across on the credits!

This is the view of the river on our way to Wrightsville Beach
It was so windy, but still beautiful...

So now we are back to the daily grind, waiting for the next vacation lol. Hope you are all doing well!
